PADDLING LEVELS

Where Do You Fit?

We offer many different paddling levels to meet the needs of all our members.

Open - For those who want to enjoy dragon boating as a leisure sport.  It requires a fitness level high enough to feel comfortable paddling and getting in and out of the boat with no or little assistance. 

Attendance - Commitment encourages the development of paddling skills, teamwork, fitness, and the enjoyment of being on the water

Fitness/Training - For those interested in the possibility of racing in dragon boat regattas at a recreational level. Requires a commitment for a fixed number of practices which encourages improvement of technique, stamina, and endurance.

Periodic Technical Sessions - For those who wish to refine their techniques with the help of an expert coach. Emphasizes stroke improvement, timing, and working as a team

Never Paddled Before?

No problem! Skilled coaches will allow you to paddle at your own pace and learn techniques as you progress. Life jackets and paddles are provided. All you have to do is show up!
